Fadl Hendricks (B.Sc. Chemical Engineering) has specialised in innovative chemical engineering technologies. He has worked on several high level projects including the development and implementation of new product development and portfolio management systems for the commercialisation of newly developed businesses in fine chemicals and biotechnology Fadl has gained extensive experience in process development, technical management, project management, plant operational management and business development management. Fadl has consulted to a number of other companies including the Cape Biotech Trust (CBT), one of three Biotechnology Regional Innovation Centres established by the Department of Science and Technology (DST). Following this he was appointed CEO of CBT in 2006 and held this position until March 2010 until it merged with three other biotechnology innovation centres to become the newly formed Technology Innovation Agency (TIA). He was appointed as the Group Executive of TIA in April 2010 where he has been intensively involved in developing business models and processes for this emerging government funded innovation agency.
