APPOINTMENT OF AN INDEPENDENT NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR                            
In compliance with paragraph 3.59(a) of the Listings Requirements of the JSE    
Limited, the Aveng Group is pleased to announce the appointment of Peter Erasmus
as an independent non-executive director of the Group with effect from 22 March 
2011.                                                                           
Mr Erasmus holds a Bachelor of Science (Engineering) Honours and Bachelor of    
Commerce (Cum Laude).  He is a Professional Engineer and a Member of the        
Institute of Civil Engineers.  Mr Erasmus has also completed executive          
programmes at Nyenrode University in The Netherlands and the Graduate School of 
Business at the University of Cape Town.                                        
Mr Erasmus is presently the Independent Executive Advisor and Project Manager at
KeyQuoin (Pty) Limited and was previously Chief Operating Officer of Group Five 
Limited.  Mr Erasmus has held managing director and senior management roles at  
Stewart Scott International, Tolcon (Pty) Limited, Keeve Steyn Inc & Tolplan    
Consortium.                                                                     
The Board looks forward to the contribution that Mr Erasmus will make to The    
Aveng Group.                                                                    
With effect from 22 March 2011, the Board of Aveng Limited will be constituted  
as follows - AWB Band* (Chairman), WR Jardine (CEO), HJ Verster (FD), P
