TRADING STATEMENT                                                               
ELB is currently finalising its results for the six months ended 31 December    
2010, which should be released on SENS on or about Wednesday, 16 March 2011. In 
this regard, shareholders are advised that both basic headline earnings per     
share ("HEPS") and basic earnings per share ("EPS") are likely to be 140 cents  
per share (HEPS and EPS for December 2009: 48 cents).                           
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been 
reviewed and reported on by the Company`s external auditors.
