AGL - Anglo American plc - Director`s interests Anglo American plc Incorporated in the United Kingdom (Registration number: 3564138) Short name: Anglo Share code: AGL ISIN number: GB00B1XZS820 Director`s interests The Company has received notification from the following Directors/Persons Discharging Managerial Responsibilities ("PDMRs") that they have on 28 February 2011 surrendered the potential right to receive ordinary shares in the Company, pursuant to an award granted in 2008 under the Long Term Incentive Plan ("Awards"). The maximum number of ordinary shares they could potentially have received under the Awards, on the assumption that the performance condition is satisfied in full, is set out below. The Awards were scheduled to vest, subject to the satisfaction of performance conditions, on 14 March 2011. The Company intends that employer contributions will be made into an Employer Financed Retirement Benefits Scheme for the benefit of the PDMRs. The amount of these contributions will not exceed the value they would have received in respect of the number of ordinary shares that would have vested under the Awards if they had not been surrendered.
