Ms Castillo has also become a member of Old Mutual`s Board Risk, Nomination and Remuneration Committees. Ms Castillo`s background is in investment banking and wealth management. Most recently, she led the Global Wealth Management business of Bank of America Merrill Lynch in Europe, Middle East and Africa from 2006 to 2009. The Chairman of Old Mutual, Patrick O`Sullivan, said: "We are delighted that Eva has agreed to join our Board and we look forward to benefiting from her wide experience." Eva Castillo commented: "I am very pleased to be joining the Board of Old Mutual at a most interesting time in its corporate history." Media William Baldwin-Charles UK +44 (0)20 7002 7133 Notes to Editors Eva Castillo Eva Castillo, 48, who is Spanish, led the Global Wealth Management business of Bank of America Merrill Lynch in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) from 2006 to 2009, having held a number of other senior positions in Merrill Lynch from 1997, including as head of Global Markets and Investment Banking in Iberia and President of Merrill Lynch Spain and, before that, as Chief Operating Officer for Merrill Lynch EMEA Equity Markets. Previously she had worked for the International Equities division of Goldman Sachs in London between 1992 and 1997. Her career in the financial services industry began at the Spanish broker Beta Capital in Madrid, where she worked from 1988 until 1992. She has been a non-executive director of Telefonica SA since the beginning of 2008. She has Bachelor of Arts degrees in Business and Law from the Universidad Pontificia de Comillas - ICADE E3 in Madrid.
