Mr Akoojee will assume the responsibility for Investor Relations which was previously under Mr RL Hiemstra. Mr Hiemstra remains a member of the Executive Committee and the Board of Imperial Holdings and continues to be responsible for the Strategy and Business Development portfolios, as well as the group`s residual aviation interests. Mr Akoojee (32) joined the group on October 1st, 2009. He previously worked at Nedbank Securities as an investment analyst and at Investec in the corporate finance division. The appointment is effective from 18 January 2011.
