Shareholders are referred to the announcement of Shoprite`s results for         
the 53 weeks ended June 2010, released on SENS today and are advised            
that the condensed consolidated preliminary results have been reviewed          
by PricewaterhouseCoopers Inc ("the auditors")  The auditors`                   
unqualified review opinion is available for inspection at the Company`s         
registered office.
