AFE - AECI - Retirement Of An Executive Director AECI LIMITED Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa (Registration No. 1924/002590/06) Share code: AFE & ISIN No. ZAE000000220 ("AECI" or "the Company" or "the Group") RETIREMENT OF AN EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR Frank Baker has elected to retire from the Company on 31 March 2010. Frank joined AECI in 1976, starting in the Group Technical Department and fulfilling various roles within the Chlor-Alkali activities of the Company, culminating in his appointment as business team leader for the Polyethylene business. In 1993 he was transferred to the Chemical Services Limited (Chemserve) group as managing director of Plastamid and, after other managing directorships at other subsidiaries within Chemserve, he was promoted to managing director of the Chemserve group in 2003. At that time he also joined the executive committee of AECI and was appointed to the Board of AECI in an executive capacity in 2007. We thank Frank for his contribution to the Group over the past 34 years and wish him well in his retirement. Mark Dytor, currently an executive director of Chemserve, has been appointed Acting managing director of Chemserve with immediate effect.
