Pursuant to DTR 3.1.2R, Lonmin Plc (the "Company") announces that Roger         
Phillimore, chairman of the board of directors of the Company, today bought     
15,000 ordinary shares of $1 each in the capital of the Company at an average   
price of 1438.5281p per share.   Upon settlement of this transaction, Mr        
Phillimore`s total holding will be 18,614 shares.
