RESIGNATION OF CEO                                                              
After 10 years as Chief Executive Officer of Oceana, Andrew Marshall has        
indicated his intention to resign from the Group and as a director of the       
Company at the end of February 2009, to pursue another opportunity in South     
Africa.                                                                         
The Chairman of the board, Mustaq Brey, thanked Andrew for his significant      
contribution over this period.  Since Andrew`s appointment in 1999 the market   
capitalisation of Oceana has increased from R394 million to R2,5 billion at     
present. Oceana is firmly established as the leading fishing & cold storage     
company in southern Africa, and the group is well positioned going forward with 
good prospects for 2009.                                                        
The process of selecting and appointing a successor to Andrew will proceed      
through the Oceana Group Remuneration and Nominations Committee.
