Shareholders are advised that ArcelorMittal South Africa`s principal shareholder
is contemplating an initiative which may or may not lead to a transaction       
involving the introduction of black economic empowerment into ArcelorMittal     
South Africa.                                                                   
If it proceeds any such transaction may have a material effect on the price of  
the Company`s securities. Accordingly shareholders are advised to exercise      
caution when dealing in the Company`s securities until a full announcement is   
made.
