HUG - Huge - Board Apppointment HUGE GROUP LIMITED (formerly Vanquish Fund Managers Limited) (Registration number 2006/023587/06) Share code: HUG & ISIN: ZAE000102042 ("Huge" or "the company") BOARD APPPOINTMENT In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, the board of directors of Huge are pleased to announce the following restructure. With effect from 1 August 2008, Mr Donovan Tredoux has been appointed to the board of directors. Mr Donovan Tredoux ("Don") brings with him 20 years of Telecommunications experience in South Africa, principally in the PABX and cellular industries. He started his telecoms career with Telkor, a subsidiary of Reunert, in a sales role and moved into the national sales manager position within three years. Siemens purchased Telkor to acquire its extensive client base so as to add to its own footprint. Don was head-hunted by Plessey Telecommunications at the time and tasked to set up a new Corporate PABX Division. After its successful implementation and with Plessey`s appetite to venture into the then new cellular industry, Don was transferred to Aztec Cellular, a joint venture with a UK based subsidiary of Plessey. Don was one of the first staff members and was tasked with assisting in the establishment of the business in South Africa. After three years as the head of sales and distribution, Siemens again approached Don to join their GSM hardware division as head of Sales and Marketing and to increase their market share in South Africa, which rose from 2% to 15% during his tenure. During his employment at Siemens he identified and defined the opportunity of cellular least cost routing. He left Siemens with an exclusivity agreement for GSM technologies and in 1996 opened his own business, Redwin Telecommunications, to bring the solution to the market. In 1997 Ursus, an international call back provider purchased Redwin, and Orion Cellular was formed. Don took up the position of managing director and majority shareholder in the Orion group and remained with them for ten years. He was also responsible for Sales, research and development, legal and regulatory matters and their "Blue Sky" strategies. The turnover of the group grew from an initial R3 million per annum, exceeding R750 million on his departure at the beginning of 2006. Don is an entrepreneur by nature and has a flair for identifying technologies and marrying them with marketplaces. He left Orion to concentrate his efforts in what he identified to be the "next big opportunity" namely, value added least cost routing solutions and Java platforms on the mobile handset. Throughout his career, Don has played a very active and instrumental role in research and development to further the growth and user experience of the different product offerings. He is technically minded, but market orientated.
