AFE - AECI Limited - Notification of a change to the board of directors AECI LIMITED Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa (Registration No. 1924/002590/06) Share code: AFE ISIN No. ZAE000000220 ("AECI" or "the Company") NOTIFICATION OF A CHANGE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS AECI regrets to announce that Roger Williams, an executive director and chief financial officer of the Company, has advised the Board of directors ("the Board") of his intention to resign from his position before year-end. Roger and his family will be leaving South Africa as a direct consequence of the violent death of their daughter, Emily, a victim of crime in February this year. Whilst the Board remains fully supportive of the Williams family and acknowledges Roger`s contribution to the Company since joining AECI in August 2007, it is saddened that people of his calibre are being lost owing to the national environment of crime that continues to plague this country. The timing of Roger`s departure is dependant on a number of factors, including the appointment of a successor. A further announcement in this regard will be made in due course.
