TRADING STATEMENT IN RESPECT OF THE YEAR ENDED 29 FEBRUARY 2008                 
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, companies are required
to publish a trading statement as soon as there is a reasonable degree of       
certainty that the financial results for the period to be reported upon next    
will differ by at least 20% from that of the previous corresponding period.     
Famous Brands accordingly advises that it expects:                              
-    headline earnings per share ("HEPS") to be between 20% to 30% above HEPS   
    reported for the prior comparative period;                                  
-    and earnings per share ("EPS") to be between 30% to 40% above EPS reported 
    for the prior comparative period.                                           
The information on which the above trading statement is based has not been      
reviewed or reported on by the company`s auditors.                              
The financial results of the group will be published on SENS on or about 19 May 
2008.
