With regard to the audited results for the year ended 31 December 2007,         
shareholders are advised that the annual financial statements have been posted  
on AECI`s website (www.aeci.co.za) and will be distributed to shareholders      
during the week of 14 April 2008 and contain no modifications to the reviewed   
condensed consolidated financial results which were published on SENS on 26     
February 2008.                                                                  
Notice of the annual general meeting                                            
Notice is hereby given that the 84th annual general meeting of AECI shareholders
will be held at 9:00 on Monday 26 May 2008 on the ground floor, AECI Place, 24  
The Woodlands, Woodlands Drive, Woodmead, Sandton to transact the business as   
stated in the annual general meeting notice forming part of the annual financial
statements.
