Nampak Limited advises that the shares in its 57% owned subsidiary, Nampak      
Nigeria Plc ("the Company"), have been suspended by the Nigerian Stock          
Exchange ("the NSE") following a report made to the NSE by the Company. The     
reason for the suspension is an investigation initiated by the Company into     
possible errors in its financial statements for the twelve months ended 30      
September 2007. Any possible loss should not be material to Nampak Limited and  
a further announcement will be made once the investigation has been finalised.
