WITHDRAWAL OF CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT                                           
Shareholders are referred to the cautionary announcements released on SENS on 3 
September and 11 October 2007 regarding discussions between MTN and Telkom SA   
Limited ("Telkom") concerning certain assets of Telkom ("Proposed Transaction").
After detailed investigations into the strategic, operational and regulatory    
aspects of such Proposed Transaction, the parties were unable to reach          
agreement.                                                                      
Shareholders are advised that discussions with Telkom have been terminated and  
that caution is no longer required to be exercised by shareholders when dealing 
in MTN securities.
