The Mr Price Group - Trading statement Mr Price Group Limited (Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa) (Registration number 1933/004418/06) ISIN: ZA000026951 Share Code: MPC ("The Mr Price Group" or "the Group" or "the company") TRADING STATEMENT In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, companies are required to publish a trading statement as soon as they are reasonably satisfied that the financial results for the period to be reported upon next will differ by at least 20% from the corresponding reporting period of the previous year. The Mr Price Group is currently finalising its results for the half year ended 30 September 2007 ("the reporting period") which should be released on SENS on 14 November 2007. The company advises that its profit from operating activities before finance income for the reporting period will be between 20% and 30% higher than the corresponding reporting period of the previous year. Basic and headline earnings per share for the reporting period, which have been impacted by lower finance income and a higher number of shares in issue, are expected to be between 15% and 25% higher than the corresponding reporting period of the previous year. The forecast financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been reviewed and reported on by the company`s auditors.
