NEW APPOINTMENTS TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS                                      
The board of directors of Pretoria Portland Cement Company Limited ("PPC"), is  
pleased to announce the following appointments to the board of directors with   
effect from 17 October 2007.                                                    
Ms Zibusiso Kganyago is appointed as an independent non-executive director of   
the company.  She is the Executive Director of Gaming Developments at Tsogo Sun.
Ms Kganyago has been involved with property development and construction        
management over the past thirteen years and was the Executive Director          
responsible for the recently completed R370m Montecasino Lifestyle Development. 
Ms Ntombi Langa-Royds is appointed as an independent non-executive director of  
the company.  Ms Langa-Royds owns Nthake Consulting, a human resources          
consulting firm specialising in human resources management and allied services. 
She has nineteen years` experience in the human resources consulting            
environment, with previous positions as Director of Human Resources at          
Independent Newspapers Holdings Ltd, South African Broadcasting Corporation and 
Bevcan Division of Nampak Ltd.                                                  
The board believes that the different qualifications and diverse work experience
of these two new directors, will add significantly to the board`s deliberations.
