TRADING STATEMENT IN RESPECT OF THE SIX MONTHS ENDED 31 AUGUST 2007             
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, companies are         
required to publish a trading statement as soon as they become aware that the   
financial results for the period to be reported upon next will differ by at     
least 20% from that of the previous corresponding period.                       
Famous Brands accordingly advises that it expects headline earnings and         
earnings per share for the six months ended 31 August 2007 to be between 40%    
to 50% above headline earnings and earnings per share reported for the prior    
comparative period.                                                             
These results are attributable to improved margins across the group, tighter    
cost control measures and continued focus on growing our brands in difficult    
market conditions.                                                              
The financial results of the group will be published on SENS on or about        
Monday, 29 October 2007.
