Sale of Dulux`s South African Operations - Fulfillment of conditions precedent  
Shareholders are referred to the announcement released on the Securities        
Exchange News Service of the JSE Limited on 17 July 2007 regarding the sale by  
the Company of its decorative coatings business, trading as Dulux, to ICI plc.  
Shareholders are advised that all of the conditions precedent relating to the   
sale of Dulux`s South African operations, as set out in that announcement have  
been fulfilled.
