ASR - Assore Limited - Trading update Assore Limited (Incorporated in the Republic of South Africa) Registration number 1950/037394/06 Share code: ASR ISIN: ZAE000017117 ("the Assore group") TRADING UPDATE Shareholders are advised that the Assore group has continued to benefit from positive market conditions since the interim results announcement published on 22 February 2007 with increased sales volumes and increased US Dollar and Euro prices achieved for all products. As a result, attributable earnings per share for the year to 30 June 2007 are anticipated to be between R28,00 and R29,50 (year ended 30 June 2006 : R16,51 per share). Accordingly headline earnings per share are expected to be between R26,50 and R28,00 (year ended 30 June 2006 : R11,69 per share). Earnings per share calculations are based on a weighted average of 27,06 million shares in issue for the year (year ended 30 June 2006 : 27,70 million). The above earnings forecast information has not been reviewed or reported on by the Assore group`s auditors. The final results for the year ended 30 June 2007 are expected to be published early in September 2007.
