The Board of Netcare is pleased to announce that on 2nd August 2007, the        
Competition Tribunal ruled in favour of Netcare`s unconditional acquisition of  
Community Hospital Group (CHG), a black empowerment company which manages five  
hospitals in South Africa and in which Netcare currently owns 43,75%.  Pursuant 
to this ruling, Netcare will acquire the remaining 56.25% of CHG and own 100% of
CGH.  This ruling will allow Netcare to complete its ownership of the five CHG  
hospitals.
