RESULTS OF GENERAL MEETING                                                      
Further to the announcements dated 28 March 2007, 11 May 2007 and 18 June       
2007 pertaining to the acquisition by York of 100% of all the shares in         
an claims against Global Forest Products (Proprietary) Limited ("GFP")          
and South African Plywood (Proprietary) Limited ("Plywood") for an              
aggregate purchase consideration of R1,694,747,439 with effect from 30          
June 2007 in one indivisible transaction ("the Acquisition"), York is           
pleased to announce that all the special and ordinary resolutions to            
approve the Acquisition and matters ancillary thereto proposed at the           
general meeting of shareholders of York ("York Shareholders") held on           
Monday, 9 July 2007, were passed by the requisite majority of York              
shareholders.                                                                   
A further announcement will be made on the closing date of the                  
Acquisition, which is expected to be on Thursday, 12 July 2007.
