Nampak appoints a managing director for Europe                                  
Nampak is pleased to announce the appointment of Tom Reid as the managing       
director of Nampak Europe.  Tom`s appointment takes effect immediately.         
A forty-four year old South African with a Higher Diploma in Engineering and a  
Bachelor of Commerce degree, Tom joined Nampak in 1990 in a marketing role for  
the beverage can division.  In 1998, he was appointed managing director of      
Foodcan and shortly thereafter managing director of Nampak Corrugated.  In 2003,
he and his family transferred to the UK when he was appointed managing director 
of Nampak Plastics Europe.                                                      
Described as someone who`s "commercially rounded, results-orientated and makes  
his mark quickly", Tom played a leading role in improving the performance of    
Nampak Plastics Europe, which increased market share in the last financial year.

proactive approach to doing business, will ensure that he contributes positively
to the future of Nampak Europe," said Nampak CEO, John Bortolan.
