RESULTS OF ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING AND FINALISATION OF CAPITAL DISTRIBUTION      
ANNOUNCEMENT                                                                    
At the annual general meeting of shareholders of Famous Brands held on          
Wednesday, 27 June 2007 (in terms of the notice of annual general meeting       
contained in the Famous Brands annual report issued on Monday, 4 June 2007), all
of the resolutions were passed by the requisite majority of Famous Brands       
shareholders.                                                                   
In respect of ordinary resolution number 8 a capital distribution to            
shareholders of R28,334,429 or 30 cents per share will be effected by means of a
reduction in share premium, in lieu of a final dividend. Salient dates in       
respect of the capital distribution are as follows:
