    TRADING STATEMENT                                                           
    The directors of Trematon hereby notify shareholders that the company`s     
    earnings and headline earnings per share for the six months ended 28        
February 2007 are expected to be between 58% and 63% and 29% and 34%,       
    respectively, lower than the earnings and headline earnings per share for   
    the six months ended 28 February 2006.                                      
    The primary reason for the reduction in earnings per share is reduced       
activity in the short-term trading portfolio.  The company is increasingly  
    reliant on activities in listed and unlisted investments which have a       
    longer-term return profile.  Changes in the value of these assets are not   
    included in current income.                                                 
The net asset value of the company is expected to increase over the same    
    period by approximately 15%.                                                
    The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not  
    been reported on by Trematon`s auditors and is expected to be published not 
later than 8 May 2007.
