Further cautionary announcement                                                 
Shoprite ordinary shareholders ("shareholders") are referred to the Shoprite    
announcement released on SENS on 24 January 2007 regarding the internal re-     
organisation, in specie distribution, delisting and liquidation of Shoprite     
("the transaction") wherein it was announced that pursuant to certain amendments
to the transaction, a revised detailed terms announcement containing further    
detail on, inter alia, amendments to the transaction would be released.         
Shareholders are advised to continue to exercise caution when dealing in their  
Shoprite ordinary shares until such revised detailed terms announcement is      
published, which announcement will be made in due course.
