TRADING STATEMENT FOR THE SIX MONTHS ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2006                     
Dawn shareholders are referred to the trading statement for the six months ended
31 December 2006, released on SENS on 12 January 2007 and are advised of the    
following update.                                                               
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, companies are required
to publish a trading statement as soon as they become aware that the financial  
results for the period to be reported upon next will differ by at least 20% from
the financial results for the previous corresponding period.                    
Dawn accordingly advises that for the six months ended 31 December 2006, it is  
expecting earnings and headline earnings per share to be 50% to 55% above those 
reported for the previous six months ended 31 December 2005.                    
The financial results on which this trading statement has been based have not   
been reviewed or reported on by the company`s auditors. The financial results of
the company will be published on or about Thursday, 8 February 2007.
