CHANGE TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS                                                
In compliance with section 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of JSE Limited,    
the board of directors of Labat hereby notifies its shareholders that Mr D      
Asmal has resigned as a non-executive director with immediate effect. Mr Asmal  
has been deployed on a full time basis with SAMES, one of the subsidiaries of   
Labat.
