AUDIT OPINION ON ANNUAL FINANCIAL STATEMENTS                                    
LABAT AFRICA LIMITED ("LABAT")                                                  
(ISIN: ZAE000018354 & ALPHA CODE: LAB)                                          
The JSE Limited ("JSE") wishes to advise that, contrary to our earlier          
announcement dated 11 September 2006, the audit opinion on Labat"s annual       
financial statements for the year ended 28 February 2006 contains an emphasis of
matter and not a qualification.                                                 
The JSE wishes to apologise for this error and regrets any inconvenience which  
may have been caused.
