Afrox shareholders are referred to the announcement, dated 8 March 2006, wherein
they were advised of the cash offer, by means of a Scheme of Arrangement, by    
Linde AG ("Linde") for the entire issued and to be issued share capital of BOC  
("the offer").  All the pre-conditions to the offer have been satisfied and     
accordingly, with effect from 5 September 2006, BOC is a member of the Linde    
Group.
