Appointment of Director                                                         
Aspen has appointed Sindi Zilwa BCompt Hon, CTA CA (SA) to its Board with effect
from 1 September 2006.  Sindi will also be appointed to the Audit and Risk      
Committee of the Board.  She is the second black woman chartered accountant to  
qualify in South Africa.  Sindi served her articles partly with WL Nkuhlu & Co, 
Umtata and partly with Deloitte and Touche, Sandton.  Sindi also holds advanced 
diplomas in taxation, financial planning and banking.  She is the Chief         
Executive of Nkonki, chartered accountants, a member of the SA Institute of     
Chartered Accountants Education Committee, the SAICA Banking Project Group, the 
chairman of the BUSA Standing Committee on Transformation and a nonexecutive    
director of Discovery Limited, Primedia Limited, Strate Limited and Woolworths  
Limited.    In the past Sindi has held directorships, inter alia, at the South  
African Mint, Wiphold and Telkom.  She has also served on the Public Accountants
and Auditors Board and the GAAP monitoring panel.                               
Her achievements include winning as the Business Woman of the Year in 1998, and 
her nomination as one of the top 10 Business Personalities in South Africa by   
the Black Management Forum and Impumelelo Top 300 companies in 2001 and receipt 
of the Top Emerging Female Owned company of the year award in 2004 on behalf of 
Nkonki.

delighted that Sindi has agreed to join the Board and to serve on Aspen"s Audit
