Bidvest announces loss of MOD contract                                          
Bidvest announces that its UK Foodservice subsidiary, 3663 First For Foodservice
has today been informed that its contract to supply food products to the        
Ministry of Defence ("MOD") will not be renewed upon its expiry in September    
2006. Shareholders are advised there will be no impact on the results of the    
Group to June 30 2006 and the impact in subsequent years will not be            
significant.
