In compliance with rule 3.59 of the JSE Listing Requirements,the  following     
information should be noted:                                                    
Woolworths advises that Ms Nolitha Fakude has resigned from the board of        
directors with immediate effect. Ms Fakude indicated that the                   
resignation as non-executive director allows her to focus attention on her      
position as an executive director in the resources industry.                    
The board of Woolworths would like to thank Ms Fakude for her contribution to   
the company.
