RETIREMENT OF EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR                                                
Nampak Limited advises that the Marketing Director of the company, Andrew       
Marthinusen, has elected to retire after 22 years service with the group,       
including 14 years as an executive director.  Andrew will retire on 31 July 2005
and the position will not be replaced at board level.                           
The board thanks Andrew for his very valuable contribution over many years and  
wishes him a long and enjoyable retirement.
