CHANGES IN DIRECTORATE                                                          
Bidvest announces the following changes in directorate :                        
Gill Marcus has been appointed as a non-executive director, with effect from    
June 1  2005.                                                                   
Brian Connellan, due to commitments with respect to other directorships, has    
resigned as alternate director to Mervyn Chipkin with immediate effect.

Gill Marcus joins                                                               
Bidvest Board                                                                   
GILL MARCUS, holder of the Chair of Policy, Leadership and Gender Studies at the
Gordon Institute of Business Science, has been appointed to the Board of        
Bidvest, the international services, trading and distribution group.            
It is the first directorship to be accepted by the former Deputy Minister of    
Finance and former Deputy Governor of the Reserve Bank.                         
For several years, Ms Marcus was a Member of the ANC National Executive         
Committee and at the Ministry of Finance led the transformation of SARS. At the 
Reserve Bank she was part of the team which shaped national monetary policy.    
Ms Marcus commented: "I am excited to be joining the Board of a company of such 
great diversity. Bidvest is a creative and innovative company and I trust the   
experience I have gained over the last 10 years in addressing strategic issues  
may prove useful."
