Shareholders are referred to the announcement dated 25 February 2005, whereby   
the Acquisition was subject to the approval of the Competition Commission.      
Argent directors are pleased to announce that the Competition Commission has    
approved the Acquisition.  Accordingly, the Acquisition has therefore become    
effective with effect from 31 March 2005.
