Shareholders are referred to the article on Kumba Resources published in        
Engineering News on 30 March 2005 concerning its R2.96 billion Sishen Expansion 
Project.  The Group wishes to clarify that the value of the work which the      
Murray & Roberts Bateman joint venture will oversee is approximately R2.5       
billion and that the value of its reimbursable engineering procurement and      
construction management (EPCM) contract is approximately R300 million.  Murray &
Roberts has a 50% share in the joint venture.
