SALE OF PAPER MERCHANTS DIVISION                                                
Nampak Limited announces the sale of its paper merchants division, Peters       
Papers, in a transaction with a value of approximately R220 million to a        
consortium comprising Actis Africa Fund 2 LP, a private equity fund, Izingwe    
Capital, a black empowered investment company, and management at Peters Papers. 
The transaction is subject to certain suspensive conditions and the anticipated 
effective date is 1 March 2005.
