FINAL DIVIDEND                                                                  
On 25 November 2004, it was announced that the Board of Lonmin Plc had          
recommended a final dividend for the year ended 30 September 2004 of 42 US cents
per share. Payment of the dividend remained subject to the approval of          
shareholders at the AGM, which AGM was held yesterday, 27 January 2005 where the
required approval was obtained. It is accordingly confirmed that 42 US cents per
share will be paid on 14 February 2005. The dividend of 252.84 ZA cents will be 
paid to shareholders on the SA branch register, calculated at the Rand to US    
dollar exchange rate (of R6.02/USD1) on Friday 7 January 2005.
