Final Dividend - Rand Exchange Rate                                             
Further to the announcement to shareholders published on 25 November 2004 in    
which shareholders were informed that the exchange rate to be used to determine 
the Rand equivalent of the final dividend for the year ended 30 September 2004  
payable on 14 February 2005 would be calculated on 7 January 2005, shareholders 
are hereby advised that the exchange rate to be used will be US$1 = R6.02. This 
has been calculated as the average of the bid/ask spread as at noon (South      
African time) on 7 January 2005.                                                
Consequently, the Rand value of the cash entitlement of 42 US cents per share   
will therefore be R2.5284 per share.
