Shareholders are referred to the cautionary announcement published in the press 
on Friday, 7 December 2004, and are advised that the negotiations referred to   
therein have ceased to have a material effect on the share price of the company.
Accordingly, shareholders are advised that caution is no longer required when   
dealing in their Argent shares, and the cautionary is hereby withdrawn.
