FTSE/JSE Africa Index Series - FTSE Global Classification Changes FTSE Global Classification Changes FTSE/JSE Africa Index Series 10 December 2004 Recipients of this release should be aware that the current Global Classification System used by FTSE for its Global Equity Index Series, domestic UK and other national indices will be switching from the current monthly changes to quarterly changes effective from 1 January 2005. Therefore the next classification changes will be effective on Monday 21st March 2005. This change reflects the current gradual adoption of the Industry Classification Benchmark (ICB) so that the two series can be kept in step whilst preparations are made for the adoption of ICB throughout FTSE"s Indices.
