APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTOR                                                         
In accordance with 3.59 of the JSE Securities Exchange South Africa Listings    
Requirements, in respect of a change to the Board of Directors of a listed      
company, notification is given that Ms Liliane Barnard has been appointed as    
independent non-executive director with immediate effect.                       
Ms Barnard has seventeen years" experience in the asset management industry,    
fifteen of those as analyst, portfolio manager and sector head of listed        
property at Old Mutual Asset Managers (Pty) Ltd. In May 2001 Ms Barnard was     
appointed to head up Property Asset Management at Old Mutual Properties (Pty)   
Ltd. Ms Barnard is currently an independent consultant to the industry and its  
investors.
