on 30 September 2004 Lonmin Plc received notification from Mr J N Robinson, a   
Director of the Company, that he was notified on 30 September 2004 by his       
Personal Equity Plan administrators that he had become interested in 22         
additional Ordinary Shares of US$1 each fully paid in Lonmin Plc. The shares    
were acquired on 30 September 2004 at a price of 1,109.7500p per share.
