RESULTS OF GENERAL MEETINGS                                                     
At the general meeting of the Cementation ordinary shareholders held today,     
Cementation ordinary shareholders approved the delisting of the Cementation     
ordinary shares from the JSE Securities Exchange South Africa ("the JSE").      
The necessary quorum for the general meeting of Cementation preference          
shareholders to consider and, if deemed fit, approve the delisting of the       
Cementation preference shares, was not present and, accordingly, the general    
meeting of Cementation preference shareholders has been adjourned to 14:00 on   
Wednesday, 6 October 2004. The suspension and delisting of the Cementation      
preference shares will therefore not take place until such time as it is        
approved by Cementation preference shareholders.                                
Cementation ordinary and preference shareholders are reminded of the following  
salient dates pertaining to the offer by Murray & Roberts Limited to Cementation
ordinary and preference shareholders to acquire all or any of their Cementation 
ordinary and preference shares ("the offer") and to the delisting of the        
Cementation ordinary shares:

Last day to trade on the JSE to be eligible to

Cementation ordinary shares suspended on the JSE

Note:                                                                           
No dematerialisation or rematerialisation of Cementation ordinary shares will   
take place after Friday, 8 October 2004. No dematerialisation or                
rematerialisation of Cementation preference shares will take place between      
Monday, 11 October 2004 and Friday, 15 October 2004.
