Lonmin Plc announces that the circular relating to the proposed acquisition of a
further 9.1 per cent of each of Western Platinum Limited and Eastern Platinum   
Limited (together "Lonplats") from Gazelle Platinum Limited, a wholly-owned     
subsidiary of Impala Platinum Holdings Limited, and the proposed financing of   
equity participation in Incwala Resources (Proprietary) Limited by Historically 
Disadvantaged South Africans, is being posted to its shareholders today.        
Two copies of the above document have been lodged with the UK Listing Authority 
and will shortly be available for inspection at the UK Listing Authority"s
