TRADING UPDATE                                                                  
Shareholders are advised that the consolidated headline earnings of Assore for  
the year ended 30 June 2004 are expected to be 20.9% higher than the            
consolidated headline earnings reported for the corresponding year ended 30 June
2003.  The Company"s reviewed results are expected to be published on SENS on   
Thursday, 2 September 2004.
