SENS ANNOUNCEMENT                                                               
Trans Hex refers to the INet Bridge report as published in the "Business Day"   
newspaper of 16 July 2004 under the heading "Trans Hex foresees 40% rise in     
output".                                                                        
Trans Hex wishes to clarify that the estimated 2004/2005 production of 299 633  
carats as recorded in the 2004 Annual Report and the INet Bridge report, is     
conditional upon anticipated grades being achieved at all operations and Trans  
Hex"s South African land operations implementing a continuous operations shift  
system, which continues to be under negotiation with the National Union of      
Mineworkers.  The increase in marine production reflects a move to joint venture
operations compared with cash income from charter mining during the previous    
year.
